On May 10, 2020, the teaching innovation competition for teachers of School of Marxism was held in Classroom 218 of Center for Faculty Development in Youyi Campus.

Ge Wenjie, Professor of School of Mechanical Engineering; Wang Yongxin, Vice Dean of School of Materials Science and Engineering; He Miao, Assistant Dean of School of Marxism; and Professor Pu Yao and Associate Professor Hua Yanjun of School of Marxism, served as judges.Li Hui, Director of Center for Faculty Development, and Wu Wenchuan, Deputy Party Secretary of School of Marxism, participated in the competition.

Wu Wenchuan made a brief introduction to the significance, the judges and the rules of this competition.He hoped that the judges could provide opinions and suggestions for the participating teachers, and guide them to improve their teaching quality, so as to achieve the goal of promoting practice and reform through competition.

After that, the teachers started the competition according to their courses and have made full preparation according to the requirements of the competition.Based on their practical experience in carrying out the reform and innovation of ideological and political courses in the past year, they have innovated the course content, teaching form, language style, etc., showing a good spirit and reflecting the effectiveness of reform and innovation in these courses.

After the competition, the judges made in-depth and detailed comments on the performance of the teachers, and put forward targeted opinions and suggestions. Ge Wenjie pointed out that all the teachers performed well in this competition, showing the charm and style of ideological and political teachers.He suggested that teachers continue to strengthen the topic selection, teaching design and thinking organization in future competitions, adhere to the concept of “student-centered” to organize teaching content, analyze problems from the perspective of thinking and values, so as to make the courses more convincing, make students have more sense-of-gain, and create a brand of ideological and political courses with the characteristics of NPU.

In this competition, Ma Jun and Zhao Haixia won the grand prize.Chen Chengping, Liu Yuanliang and Shan Lei won the first prize.These five award-winning teachers will participate in the next Teaching Innovation Competition of NPU.It is hoped that the teachers will continue to work hard and achieve better results in the next competition.
