On 18 March 2019, Xi Jinping hosted a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools in Beijing and delivered an important speech, which provided an important guideline for running good ideological and political courses, doing good ideological and political work in schools in the new era, and cultivating newcomers of the times who will take on the big responsibility of national rejuvenation. Over the past five years, the School of Marxism of Northwestern Polytechnical University has always adhered to Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era as its guide, implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools, and the student work of the School has been precise and effective in deepening theoretical propaganda, consolidating the foundation of party building, assisting in reforming the ideological and political courses, and improving the quality of teaching.

Founded on 9 March 2021, the "Qing Ma" Pioneer Student Lecture Troupe of the School of Marxism is a lecture team formed by master's and doctoral students, guided by Xi Jinping's Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era, aiming at cultivating pioneering forces to take up the great responsibility of national rejuvenation, taking the youth perspective as the starting point, focusing on the theme of the era's development, and delivering deep and thorough lectures on ideology and theory by means of the lecture forms that are pleasing to the audience and policy decision-making, and has created a series of fine works of new era theoretical lectures, Since March 2021, the "Qing Ma" Pioneer Student Lecture Group has delivered more than 100 lectures for off-campus primary and secondary schools, government agencies, and other colleges and universities, reaching an audience of more than 12,000 people.

The "Qing Ma" Pioneer Student Preaching Troupe delivered 26 lectures to primary and secondary schools in Rongshui National Middle School in Guangxi, the Affiliated Primary School of XITU, Chenggu No. 2 High School in Shaanxi, Shijing Junior High School in Shoreview, Shaanxi, Tongling in Hanzhong, and other places. With the theme of "learning and education on Party history", we tapped the high-quality resources of the youth lecture groups of colleges and universities, gave full play to the advantages of peer education, and took primary and secondary school students as the main body, and used easy-to-understand, clear and simple reasoning to incorporate small stories into great reasoning, which helped to inspire and educate the students. The main body of students, with easy-to-understand, clear and simple reasoning, "small stories" into the "avenue", in the inspiration and guidance and interactive exchanges for primary and secondary school students to bring a wonderful Civic and political class, so that they have received a red party history in the mind a profound baptism of learning and education, is to help promote the integration of Civic and Political Classes in universities.

The “Qingma” Pioneer Student delivered five lectures for the community of Bowang Street Office and Hanjiang Road Community in Chenggu County. Through the use of popular communication methods, popularised language expression, to "the Communist Party of China ideological work of the historical retrospective" "tell a good story of Chenggu, inherit the red gene" "study the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee, writing Chenggu magnificent scroll" "carry forward the great spirit of the founding of the party, cohesion of the power of successive struggles" as the title of the theoretical preaching, so that the "party's voice "household name, in-depth, set off a wave of fever, solidly promote the party's innovative theoretical achievements to go deep and practical, through the theory of the "last kilometre", guide the masses to improve the theoretical literacy, perception of the ideological greatness, and promote the party's spirit of the roots at the grassroots level.

The "Qingma" Pioneer Student Lecture Troupe delivered party lectures 66 times for other 13 colleges, logistics departments, student associations, Chang'an University, Shandong University, Xi'an University of Electronic Science and Technology, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, and so on. Through the study and exchange activities of the "Qingma" Lecture Group jointly carried out with various universities for many times, it has created a theoretical learning atmosphere of learning from the past, learning from each other and promoting the improvement of the theory, meanwhile, it has deeply interpreted the innovative theories of the Party, actively sent out the voices of the young students of the University of Technology in the joint lectures, and coalesced the consensus through the lectures and contributed to the power of the youth for the Chinese-style modernisation. Students preached into the situation policy classroom 11 times, through the preaching into the classroom activities, stressing that the “Qingma" students should shoulder the responsibility given by the times, combine the inheritance of the red spirit with the fundamental task of establishing moral education, nourish the ideology and politics classroom with the red culture, and let the red genes be passed on to the next generation.

With the goal of deepening the reform of the ideological and political courses, giving full play to the nurturing function of party building and ideological and political development, and integrating the party building and ideological and political strength of the College's academic and work group, the Youth League and the Graduate Students' Association, the party building work has won a number of accolades, and the work of the party building has reached a new level. The former master's party branch of the School of Marxism was awarded the "National Model Branch of Party Building Work", and won the student advanced party branch for four consecutive years, and in May 2022, it successfully passed the acceptance of the second batch of the Ministry of Education's "Double Creation" model branches of party building in colleges and universities in the new era; The Party Committee of the College was awarded the third batch of "Benchmark College" for party building work of NPU, and was awarded the Advanced College for Student Party Building for three consecutive years; the First Party Branch of Doctoral Students was awarded the third batch of "Model Branch" for party building work of the university.

"The key to running a good ideological and political theory course lies in the teachers, and the key lies in giving full play to their enthusiasm, initiative and creativity." At a symposium for teachers of ideological and political theory courses in schools, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out the direction for strengthening the construction of teachers of ideological and political theory courses, and placed great expectations on the majority of teachers.

Over the past five years, more than 60% of the graduates of the School of Marxism have become teachers of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities, vocational colleges and universities, basic education and other educational units, and have truly become the successors of the teaching force. "Qingma" students with solid theoretical foundations, excellent teaching ability, and firm ideals and beliefs, and meet the new era with a full of spirit! Nurturing work. Over the past five years, master's degree and doctoral degree students of the college have actively participated in teaching assistantships and teaching competitions, and in the ideological and political theory course teaching demonstration activities in Shaanxi colleges and universities, one person was awarded "teaching champion", one person was awarded "teaching team champion", and two were awarded "teaching team masters". A doctoral student won the second prize of the Third National Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Exhibition Activity in Colleges and Universities. The teaching competition was held both online and offline, creating a strong atmosphere for young students to participate in, enabling students to deepen their knowledge and thinking about the content of classroom teaching, enhancing their teaching confidence, transforming their learning achievements, and showing the Marxist theoretical quality and spirit of university students in the new era.

The school gives full play to the radiation-driven role of the "teaching champions" and "teaching masters" emerging from the teaching competition, further improves the effect of ideological and political programmes and courses, comprehensively promotes the construction of ideological and political theory courses, and endeavours to cultivate newcomers of the times who will take up the great responsibility of national rejuvenation.

Over the past five years, the School of Marxism has always adhered to the guidance of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, implemented the important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the construction of ideological and political courses, and anchored the school's "127" development goals. In the future, the college will further fully implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education, adapt to the reform and innovation of the ideological and political theory course in the new era, and take multiple measures to promote the work of ideological and political education to a new level.
