On June 21, Professor Robert P. Crease, Director of the Philosophy Department of Stony Brook, State University of New York, made a special report entitled “The Mistrust of Experts by Populists” at the School of Marxism.

Professor Robert P. Crease pointed out that “whether in the field of science and technology or in the field of human experience, experts are often the objects on which the public depends”, but he also pointed out that “populists are prone to distrust experts and their suggestions”. He analyzed the causes of this distrust in detail and explained how to deal with the situation. In the interactive part, the students discussed very warmly.

Finally, Associate Professor Wang Yanli summarized the report.
